Cholesterol – propaganda koncernów farmaceutycznych?
Większość z nas cholesterol utożsamia z czymś negatywnym– to słowo, które często kojarzy nam się z poważnymi problemami kardiologicznymi. W związku z tym dużo mówi się o zagrożeniach wynikających z jego podwyższenia. Nieustannie jesteśmy przekonywani przez środowisko medyczne, że jedyną skuteczną metodą pozwalającą obniżyć cholesterol jest leczenie farmakologiczne.
W dzisiejszym artykule padnie bardzo wiele kontrowersji odnośnie szkodliwości tej substancji. Z pewnością niektórych z Was mogą one zaskoczyć a nawet szokować.

Musimy wziąść pod uwagę fakt, że wszelkiego rodzaju infekcje, stany zapalne, miażdzyca a nawet przedwczesne starzenie się. Wynika ze zbyt wysokiej ilość kwasów tłuszczowych omega-6 i omega-9, a zbyt niskiej kwasów omega-3 w naszej diecie. Powinniśmy uświadomić sobie, że zawał pojawia się zarówno wśród osób z niskim stężeniem cholesterolu we krwi jak i tych z wysokim.

Czym jest cholesterol?
Jest organiczną substancją składającą się z tłuszczów czyli tzw. lipidów. Jest on niezbędny do budowy błon komórkowych w całym ciele. Ponadto uczestniczy w produkcji niektórych hormonów (np. płciowych) oraz w syntezie kwasów żółciowych. Bierze udział w wytwarzaniu witaminy D oraz odgrywa istotną rolę w pracy mózgu. Cholesterol można podzielić na HDL czyli ten ”dobry” i LDL ”zły”. Jak w życiu wszystko ma swoje podziały. 🙂
Co istotne większość cholesterolu jest wytwarzana w organizmie ( we krwi), a mniejsza część jest pozyskiwana z naszej diety. W związku z tym żywność którą spożywamy, ma niewielki wpływ na poziom „złego „cholesterolu. Dzieje się tak ponieważ nasze ciało naturalnie reguluje ilość cholesterolu, który krąży we krwi. Wynika to z faktu, że gdy dostarczamy więcej tej substancji z pożywienia, nasze ciało wytwarza jej mniej.
Kontrowersje
Niepokojącym zjawiskiem jest fakt, że coraz więcej ludzi sięga po leki obniżające stężenie cholesterolu we krwi. Narażając się tym samym na niepokojące skutki uboczne. Wiele z tych osób uważa, że skoro lekarz zapisał im ten lek i zalecił stosowanie go przez całe życie to napewno ma rację. Bo przecież lekarz jest po to żeby leczyć.
Czy jest w tym drugie dno?
Czy przypadkiem nie jest tak, że koncerny farmaceutyczne starają się za wszelką cenę ukryć fakt, że to wcale nie cholesterol jest odpowiedzialny za zawały, miażdżycę czy udary?.
Koncerny farmaceutyczne zgarniają gigantyczne pieniądze z leków przeciwcholesteroIowych tzw. statyn. W związku z tym , wolą ukryć przed pacjentem to, że przyjmowanie statyn może przynieść negatywny skutek dla zdrowia.
Statyny
Nie wielu z nas ma pojęcie, że tzw statyny ( leki na obniżenie poziom cholesterolu) są nie dość, że nieskuteczne, to jeszcze wielu przypadkach są nawet toksyczne. Liczne badania wskazują, że leki obniżające poziom cholesterolu mogą zwiększyć ryzyko udaru krwotocznego mózgu. Ponadto niektóre z badań wskazują na to, że niskie stężenie cholesterolu zwiększa ryzyko nowotworów.
Warto wiedzieć, że statyny nie tylko blokują enzym odpowiedzialny w wątrobie za produkcję cholesterolu, ale także utrudniają wytwarzanie koenzymu Q10 oraz skwalanu zapobiegającego rakowi piersi. Dodatkowo, niszczą witaminę K2, dzięki której wapń nie gromadzi się w naczyniach krwionośnych. Wynalezienie leków obniżających poziom cholesterolu stał się strzałem w dziesiątke dla przemysłu farmaceutrycznego, niestety dla wielu pacjentów jest to tzw. „gwóźdź do trumny”.
Podsumowanie
Nie namawiam Was w żaden sposób do diety wysokoprzetworzonej ociekającej tłuszczem i cholesterolem. Natomiast namawiam Was do przeanalizowania produktów które spożywacie na codzień. Może warto zastanowić się nad spożywaniem większej ilości mięsa dobrej jakości. Wiem… jako dietetyk nie powinnam tego mówić ale cóż, starajmy się wybierać produkty tłuste ale naturalne.
Istotne jest samo przygotowanie produktów. Mięso najlepiej jest dusić albo wsadzić poprostu do piecyka. W żadnym wypadku nie mieszajmy tłuszczy roślinnych ze zwierzęcymi. Nie smażmy mięsa na oleju🙈. O tłuszczach troszkę więcej pisałam w artykule o oleju rzepakowym. Link znajdziecie poniżej.
Nie należy się obawiać cholesterolu nie jest on śmiercionośną trucizną, ale substancją niezbędną do prawidłowego funkcjonowania naszego organizmu.
Sztuczne obniżanie poziomu cholesterolu może okazać się niebezpieczne dla zdrowia człowieka. Ponadto zbyt niski poziom cholesterolu jest bardziej groźny niż zbyt wysoki. Ciekawostką jest to, że produkcja cholesterolu przez nasz organizm wzrasta, gdy spożywamy mało tłuszczy, a zmniejsza się, kiedy spożywamy ich więcej.
Pamiętajcie! to nie cholesterol wywołuje zawały serca czy udary! to Wasza dieta, brak aktywności fizycznej, szkodliwy styl życia, palenie papierosów, zanieczyszczenie powietrza, wszystko to ma na to wpływ.
